The Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) is an independent administrative tribunal established by the Parliament of Canada. Its mandate is to:

Assess the admissibility of asylum applications

Holding an asylum application hearing

Holding an appeal hearing against a decision to refuse an asylum application

Holding an appeal hearing for an immigration refusal decision (refusal of sponsorship, refusal of permanent residence, loss of permanent residence, etc.)

Hold a hearing for a review of the grounds for detention by IRCC or the CBSA to assess the legality of the detention
SUBMIT AN ASYLUM APPLICATION
This section is for people who have a well-founded fear of being persecuted in their country of origin because of their race, religion, nationality, political opinion or membership of a particular social group.
If you are already in Canada or at a port of entry, you can apply for asylum to obtain protection from the Canadian government. Our firm will assist you at every stage, up to and including your hearing before the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB).
REFUGEE APPEALS
This section is for those whose asylum claim has been refused and who wish to appeal the decision to the Refugee Appeal Division (RAD). Our firm will assist you in preparing your case, analyzing the decision, and filing your appeal to maximize your chances of obtaining protection in Canada.

INVESTIGATIONS AND VERIFICATION OF REASONS FOR DETENTION
This section is for individuals detained by immigration services in Canada or their relatives. If you or a relative are being detained following a decision by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), you have the right to a hearing before the Immigration Division (ID) to assess the legality of your detention. We can assist you in preparing for the hearing, providing legal representation, and defending your rights throughout the entire process.
